By the end of April 2009, NFP Analysts will have made presentations to member associations of the Central Coast Region of Federation of Parents & Citizens Associations of NSW. These presentations will focus on the practicalities of running a Parents and Citizen’s Association at their schools. Specific content covered will include the legal position of P&C associations and day to day issues relevant to assisting and motivating these volunteer groups.

Local Government Managers Australia (LGMA) NSW is the peak body for local government professionals and managers.

In February 2009, NFP Analysts facilitated a Planning Day at which the foundation Mission and objectives were reviewed. The Board and senior management developed activities trequired for the association to achieve its objectives.

Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia (IEAA) is an industry association representing companies in the computer and video game industry. In 2009, NFP Analysts was engaged to undertake an external review of the association to advance its operations. Matters considered were statements of purpose, utilisation of accumulated assets, staffing, member services and governance.

Electrical & Communications Association, also known as Master Electricians Australia, is a well established trade association based in Brisbane.

In January 2009, NFP Analysts was engaged to facilitate a Planning Day involving the Board, senior managament and selected guests. The Planning Day resulted in refinement of the association’s Statements of Purpose and in updating its goals.

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life threatening, recessive genetic condition affecting Australian children. Cystic Fibrosis Australia is the federal organistion with members comprising the state Cystic Fibrosis bodies.

In January 2009, NFP Analysts facilitated a meeting of the federal and state bodies. That meeting followed a Think Tank in which issues about branding and related marketing matters were examined.

In March 2009 NFP Analysts undertook a review of staffing levels of the National Office and provided the Board with recommendations on job redesign, revised staffing levels, and job descriptions with responsibilities clearly linked to AIPP goals.

Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia is the federal body for engineers involved with local government. Its members are the state and territory IPWEA associations.

In July 2008, NFP Analysts facilitated a meeting of federal and state executive officers. NFP Analysts facilitated the Board’s Planning Day in February 2009.

Worked with board of this incorporated association to improve understanding of the roles and responsibilities of directors leading to substantial change in the nature and focus of board meetings.

Drycleaning Institute of Australia is a federation of separate state and terrritory associations.

NFP Analysts delivered a presentation in Adelaide, during March 2008, to the Federal Council. The presentation, on single-entity associations, led to an engagement in October 2008 to prepare a detailed report on that issue for the Federal Council.

In 2008, NFP Analysts facilitated a planning process with the board and senior management of ADEA to improve their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of directors and managers.

That process led led to a new Mission statement and major reviews of budget and financial reporting systems.

In 2008 NFP Analysts guided Royal Life Saving Society of Australia (RLSSA) through a major review of governance arrangements between State branches and the Federal body.

This project led to the development of a contemporary constitution involving fundamental changes to core membership, restructuring of the board and clarification of National and State organisations’ roles.

In 2008 NFP Analysts assisted Gift & Homewares Australia Ltd through a comprehensive process to improve directors’ understanding of their roles, obligations and board’s processes.

In November 2007, NFP Analysts delivered a presentation in Melbourne to the FDCA on governance and structure.

A second presentation, to a larger meeting in Hobart, was delivered in October 2008. In November 2008, NFP Analysts facilitated a meeting on major governance issues that resulted in a board restructure and agreement to reduce the number of directors.

In 2007 NFP Analysts worked with the Jewellers Association of Australia Ltd to improve directors’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

NFP Analysts also worked with management to improve its knowledge of the annual general meeting processes and to reviewe the constitution as part of an exercise in modernising the organization.

NFP Analysts reviewed governance arrangements between State affiliates and the National body, leading to a major review of its board, constitution and registration from an incorporated association to a company limited by guarantee and single national entity.

In 2007, NFP Analysts undertook a thorough review of governance and arrangements between the States and the National board of Angus Society of Australia.

This led to the introduction of a contemporary constitution, resulting in a board restructure and substantially modified board processes.

In 2007 NFP Analysts worked with federal board and member bodies of Fitness Australia Ltd, then a federation, to advance a restructure from federation of State-based associations to a single entity national body.

NFP Analysts also worked with the newly established National board to improve its understanding of the roles and responsibilities of directors and managers. NFP Analysts continues to work with management to improve the administrative services provided to the board.

In April 2006 NFP Analysts facilitated a Planning Day for GENCA.

The Planning Day focused on the organisations mission, plans, mode of incorporation. In February 2009, NFP Analysts attended a Board meeting at which advice was provide on on finances, membership value, staff growth and accreditation.

NFP Analysts initial engagement to the Austalasion Spa Association was to facilitate a Planning Day.

In 2001, NFP Analysts guided Reflexology Association of Australia through a process, from being a federation of independent state and territory associations to becoming a national direct-membership, single entity association.

In 2001 and 2002, NFP Analysts guided Illuminating Engineering Society of Aust & NZ from being a federation of independent Australian state and territory and NZ associations into being a national direct-membership, single entity association.

As part of its engagement in 2002, with the transition from a home-based office to a dedicated office , NFP Analysts supported ASAR in recruitment of an Executive Officer and provided advice on a new database.

Worked with the board and key membership representatives to enhance understanding of the role of the board and governance obligations, improve financial understanding and enhance the functioning of meetings.
